JAMB releases 2012 UTME result

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has officially released the 2012 UTME Results of the examination which was held on Saturday, 24th March, 2012. The result can be checked via the official JAMB portal, can be checked for free. How To Check Your JAMB UTME 2012 Result Goto the JAMB UTME e-Registration Portal Fill in your JAMB the details in the space provided. You are expected to either provide your Reg. Number, PIN and Serial Number. After filling in your entering your JAMB details click on "Check Result" to see your JAMB UTME result. N15M suit against Jim Iyke adjourned

A Magistrate Court in Abuja, Nigeria, after a hearing Thursday, has adjourned a 15 million Naira suit against Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke brought before it by businesswoman, Habiba Abubakar. The case that has been before the court since 2011 was adjourned by presiding judge, Justice Okeagu Azubike, to March 13, 2012. Habiba Abubarkar on August 8, 2011 petitioned the Inspector General of Police (Nigeria) to investigate Jim for deceiving her into acquiring 15% equity – worth 15 million Naira - in his company, Untamed Records Ltd. She alleged that, as soon as she paid the money into Jim’s account, the actor converted the money to his personal use and went on a shopping spree. Habiba further said Jim resorted to beating her and threatened to kill her when she requested for her money. According to the Nigerian police, Jim had admitted that the money was paid into his Oceanic Bank account No. 00500173691. Ace comedian and actor, Mr Chika Okpala, popularly known as "Zebrudaya" in the "New Masquerade" soap opera, has described the death of Mr James Iroha, "Gringori " as a big loss to the entertainment industry. Okpala told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday in Nsukka, Enugu State, that Iroha's death had robbed Nollywood of an ingenious actor and producer who contributed a great deal to the growth of the industry. "I was shocked when I heard of his death. Nollywood had lost an ingenious actor and producer. "Iroha was like a father to me; he created the "New Masquerade" and invited me. "I had a good relationship with him and learnt much from him in the New Masquerade." Blessing Effiom-Egbe Nollywood producer Blessing Effiom-Egbe, the producer of the hit movie “Two Brides & A Baby” is suing Silverbird Cinemas to the tune of 500 Million Naira for having deprived her of earnings from the movie in which she invested so much. In what is tipped to be the Scandal of the Century, Nollywood producer Blessing Egbe has dragged the management of SilverBird Cinemas to court over what she perceives as sharp practices by the Group! A very pained Blessing said that since screening the movie, she is yet to receive a single kobo from her investment even though the movie was screened to packed halls in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt for over two months! Not only that, she says she was told the film had stopped screening in all cinemas of 13th of January only for her to discover it was not the case as the film continued to screen well into till February!
